Hina is a child of immigrants. Hina's parents moved to the US in the 1960's and 1970's, settling in New York before moving to Virginia in 1981.
Hina attended Coles Elementary school, Parkside Middle school, Osbourn Park high school before attending James Madison university for her undergraduate, in political science and Russian language and then earning her Masters from Strayer university.
After graduation from JMU, Hina worked in the non-profit world for approximately 10 years, before shifting to local government, working for the Prince William County Police department and then the Clerk of the Court.
While studying for the Project Management Professional (PMP)® , Hina published a novel, The Haunting of the Antique Brooch, a passion project started in 2016.
After separating from the Clerk of the Court's office, Hina has worked for the USPS and is currently working as a substitute teacher here in PWC.
Hina believes the best way to change the status quo is by getting involved. After working in local government, Hina has experienced the lack of management and professionalism and believes it can be improved.
